Looking northeast to Doney Mountain in Wupatki National Monument.  Doney Mountain is a remnant cinder cone volcano.

Panning east from the previous image toward a view of The Painted Desert.

Continuing east from the previous image - Painted Desert beyond.  This area is adjacent to a pull-out along Hwy 365 and represents a saddle between two cinder cone volcanoes.  There are toilets and a trail that climbs one of the cinder cones.

This is a view northeast of the Hwy 365 grade cut on the north side of Doney Mountain.  Painted Desert beyond.
